Micanite

Moulding Micanite Sheets

Made from mica splittings bonded with modified shellac or other resins. Moulding plates are rigid at room temperature but softens when heated at temperature between 100° to 140°C. They contain relatively high level of binder content to have necessary flexibility for easily moulding into any desired shape upon heating.
On cooling, they will regain rigidity and retain the shape of moulded forms.
Application : Are chiefly used for the manufacture of commutator V-rings and cones, end-caps, channels, angles, bushings, decorative lamp shades, etc.

Heat Resisting Micanite Sheets

Made from mica splittings bonded with shellac or other variety of resins.
The percentage of binder content is kept relatively low. These plates are rigid, hard and dense.
They possess excellent punching ability to any specified shape and design.
Application : Used for heating elements in electrical appliances, furnace insulation, washers for high temperature applications, heat barriers, etc.

Mica Folium

Manufactured in continuous rolls comprising of mica splittings bonded with various kind of resins.
It is reinforced on one side with kraft paper or other backing material based on required amount of mechanical strength, dielectric strength and flexibility demanded by the applications.
Application : Mainly used in forming tubes, casings and cylinders. Suitable for insulation of bus bars and also used as slot, wrapper, separator and layer insulation in both low and high voltage installations.

Flexible Micanite Sheets

Made from mica splittings with heat resistive bonding resins and agents.
They possess excellent flexibility and permits wrapping or winding of the sheets at room temperature without heating.
The sheets may be supplied without reinforcing backings. Flexible Micanite are also reinforced with a protective backing on one or both sides which provides additional mechanical strength, dielectric strength and flexibility.
Application : Particularly suitable where cold wrapping of insulation is required. Used in wrapped insulation of motors, generators and transformers, slot liner, ground insulation, electro-magnetic coils, armature windings, etc.

Silicon Bonded Mica Sheet & Tube

Rigid Mica sheets (Silicone Bonded Mica Sheets) laminated using thermosetting resins and mica paper, suitable for use at elevated temperatures.

Epoxy Bonded Mica Tube/Bush

Are fiberglass sleeve braided from glass fiber yarn and coated with insulating resin. Offer excellent performance in high temperature applications. Are unaffected by corona, radiation, weathering or fungus. Have high tear strength, low compression and good dielectrics properties. Ideal for use as protective covers on lead wire bundles, connectors in motors, transformers and heating appliances. Also used to insulate pigtails of carbon brushes.

Epoxy Bonded Fiber Glass Sheet, Tube & Rope

Fiber Reinforced plastics are rigid sheets laminated using thermosetting (epoxy) resins and fiberglass fabric. Characterized by high dielectric strength, excellent mechanical and thermal properties and good flexural strength. Have good machinablity and punchability Ideally suited for wedging applications, as interlayer insulation in electromagnets, as terminal plates & separators in switchgears.

Syndanio Sheet & Ring

The non arching electrical insulating and heat resisting boards called "SYNDANIO SHEETS".
"SYNDANIO SHEETS", is a high grade arc and heat resisting material produced from specially selected and prepared asbestos fiber and cement formed into boards under high pressure.
These sheets are available in 4ft x 3.5ft (1200 x 1070mm). A fully equipped machine shop is available for the supply of cut and drilled sheets and fully machined parts to individual requirements.

PTFE (Teflon) Sheet & Tube

Polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) is a synthetic fluoropolymer of tetrafluoroethylene which finds numerous applications.

PTFE is a fluorocarbon solid, as it is a high molecular weight compound consisting wholly of carbon and fluorine. Neither water and water-containing substances nor oil and oil-containing substances are wet by PTFE.

Splitted Micanite Sheet (HRM)

Laminated mica or mica products are employed in electrical engineering already since the turn of the century. Micanite is the name given to sheet material which is made up of fine mica lamellae, called "Splittings", bonded together by a variety of bonding agents such as Shellac, epoxy, or silicone, in order to obtain particular characteristics for specific uses. Variations can be made in the method of manufacture, the types of Mica, and the type of quantity of bonding material used to form thick or thin, stiff or flexible products in the form of sheets.

Mica Tape

In development of the Mica tapes, we use mica paper, woven E grade fiberglass fabric and laminated with polyester film on one or both sides.

These are characterized by high flexibility, high dielectric strength and uniform thickness.

Suitable for insulation of rotor bars and overhangs of HT Coils. Also used as inter turn and ground insulation for field, armature and turbo generator coils.
